Confessions of a junk hoarder! :D

Author: Mattheus,MrCarLover1A133 // Category:
Well, I am as I wrote in my title, a junk hoarder. I have the concept in my mind that whatever that is not useful or insignificant right now and is ready to be discarded may come in handy in the future, and hence, should be kept. Things ranging from invalid credit cards to threads of string, and even torn gift wrappers can be found in my treasure chest, or rather, what I visualize it to be.

Hoarding junk is a bad habit and although I push myself to the best of the ability to stop it I still am unable to do so. A habit, is a very much a double-edged sword. It is your constant companion, and can be your greatest asset or heaviest burden. It will push you up to success or down to disappointment. It is makes great those who are great, and fails those who are failures. Although it is not a machine, it works with the precision of one and the intelligence of a person. It can be ran for profit, or ran for ruin. It is your servant. A bad habit when developed and not kicked, can prove to be very deadly. Once you walk down that road, turning back will be difficult. No bread crumbs are visible for you to follow. It will be a difficult path but at the end of the day, nothing is impossible.

Well, on second thought, maybe hoarding junk really isn't that bad. Invalid credit cards, anyone?

Well, to start with I must say that this whole blogging experience has been a fun and enjoyable one. I was previously a blogger but I soon lost the joy in blogging as I didn't have the time to maintain it and update it frequently. I tried a few times to 'revive' my blog but my efforts were to no avail.

The joy of blogging has now been revived as we have been put through this process for a couple or so months. Maintaining this blog has also made me willing to maintain my informal blog, which I have re-created and post entries in whenever I am permitted to use the computer.

There's really nothing I personally dislike about blogging. The pleasure of touching the keyboard hits me whenever I blog. Whenever I have a long day at school and am feeling tired, I turn to blogging as a form of relaxation, away from all the school work.

I am sorry but I do not have anything to comment on or any suggestions to improve the whole process. I very much like it the way it is but would be delighted if any constructive improvements can be made.

I feel that blogging is a great form of expressing your opinions and ideas of little things in life. In a way, it is also a diary, just that it is not a private one. In addition, visitors of your blog are able to comment on your opinions and omniscient point of views can be received. By reading our friends' views on different things, we will then be able understand our peers better and deepen ties. Hence, I feel that frequent blogging is a great habit and ought to be continued throughout the whole year.

Well, I think that reading frequently will ensure you write better and make your blog livelier and more vibrant and exciting to read.

Narrative And Graphics - My Connection

Author: Mattheus,MrCarLover1A133 // Category:
Basically, I feel graphics are easier to be presented to the audience. As the saying goes, a picture speaks a thousand words. For example, an angry face can be expressed by just a drawing. However, quite a number if words have to be used to explain the details on the face.

About the connection between the two, narratives and graphics, I apparently do not understand, or rather, am unable to realise it if it actually existed. Narratives are narratives; graphics are graphics. There is no or rather, little connection.

Reading Habits

Well, I don't have any particular reading habit. When I'm seen reading, that will probably be during my spare time. Being an avid reader, I used to read about 3 novels a month in the school holiday periods. However, I do not have that much free time to spare nowadays, so I hardly read. I do intend to catch up with my reading though, with the help of some better time management.

Philip Malloy' Diary: Why did I do it?

Author: Mattheus,MrCarLover1A133 // Category:
Why did I do it? Why? I should have thought twice before making such a foolish mistake. Perhaps all I wanted to do was attract attention, attract Allison Doresett's attention and play it cool in front of her. It all starts to backfire on me right now. I've landed perfectly fine situations into complicated ones. All because of my selfishness, my greed for my personal desires. I have harmed others, and most shockingly, myself. Perhaps I should not have lied about wanting to be patriotic, but have admitted that my purpose in humming "The Star-Spangled Banner, was to irritate Miss Narwin. A mountain would not have been made out of this molehill then...

I really wish there was a time machine to bring me back in time and amend this grave mistake I am guilty of having commited. If only I had a second chance...If only I had made a wise decision...If only...

Nothing But The Truth

Author: Mattheus,MrCarLover1A133 // Category:
I just finished reading Nothing But the Truth and though I did manage to grasp the gist of it, I did not thoroughly enjoy it.

Firstly, I feel that there was hardly any organisation of the things written in the book. For example, you have the principal speaking to the reporter and before you know it, Philip is writing in his diary. I feel that the author could have just written it in the form of a novel. Perhaps that would enlighten the book further.

In addition, the ending was so brief that I had to re-read it a couple of times before I actually found out what had happened.

More tomorrow, its late.

Signing off,

Getting used to secondary school life isn't much of an easy task. Well, let me explain why. Firstly, my sleeping time gets slashed by one full hour due to the fact that I live far away from my new school. ONE! I've read that even something as minor as 15 minutes can contribute to your sleeping debt which will eventually accumulate to be a lot of time if you don't catch up with your sleep.

Secondly, instead of studying only 4 subjects, the number of our subjects has been multiplied by more than two! More subjects means more homework, more pressure, and the lastly, the average student's worst fear....MORE TUITION! Now, notice I used the word average and not every. Thats because I personally have wonderful parents who don't believe in the myth that tuition will boost your grades. They believe learning is a journey which should be enjoyed an as long as I do my best, they will be satisfied with whatever results I have achieved. Mentioning this, I feel that most parents nowadays only believe that grades are important. They seem to have forgotten that learning should be a joy, and that grades are just a gauge of your improvements.

Well, enough about that topic, moving on, though I know that I will have to take some time to adapt to new life, I have already made some new year resolutions. In fact, I do hope to be able to get at least an A1 for my two languages, Science and Maths. I also hope to be able to get a gold for my NAPFA test. In my opinion, these two goals won't be easy to attain but I do hope to be able to achieve them and hence, I will give my best effort to ensure my goals come true!
