I presented my book talk in front of my class today. Initially, I had wanted to use a powerpoint slide to refer to several of the main points I had prepared, and then elaborate from then on. However, it was revealed by Mr Spelmer that powerpoints were to be banned from today onwards. I was deeply disappointed as I had spent a great deal of time preparing the slides and needed several of them for reference. Still, I managed to produce what I would rate myself as a 6.5/10 or 7/10? I hope I haven't made any major mistakes in the presentation itself, although I did leave out a few points I had listed down on the powerpoint. Hoped the book talk was enjoyable anyway. (:
Trust me on this one: the class will find it much more enjoyable being engaged by the speaker instead of having the presenter turned around and reading from a ppt. And yes, the presentation was very good...and engaging. I'm a Horowitz fan!
